Threshold

Threshold is now highly regarded as possibly the best British progressive metal bands in existence, as well as one of the best progressive rock/metal bands in the world, thanks to a solid recording career. Though they can (and occasionally do) display their chops, they are less interested with flashy musicianship and complex time changes than they are with crafting solid melodic progressive tunes. The influences are familiar (a bit of Yes-ish vocal harmonies, a touch of Dream Theater here and there), but their songwriting and approach truly places them above the crowd. Clearly one of the best in the business.
