Spineshank

Los Angeles nu-metal band Spineshank formed in 1998, quickly recording a demo that attracted the interest of Dino Cazares, guitarist for Fear Factory, who offered the band an opening slot at a local show, and no doubt assisted in getting signed to FF's label, Roadrunner. Musically, Fear Factory is a slight influence, as Spineshank specializes in harsh, slightly industrial nu-metal a la Static-X, mixed with more conventional nu-metal influences such as Korn or Deftones. They essentially broke up in 2003 following the release of their third album, but came back together five years later, and now have a new album set for a 2011 release.
