No relation to the British pre-Skyclad thrash band
Sabbat,
this Japanese death metal band has been around seemingly
forever (actually since the early 80's) and are cult legends in their
homeland.
They've released nine full-length albums as shown here, but that's
far from the full discography, as they've released a ridiculous number
of EPs, live albums, splits, and compilations not listed on this site,
often as many as a dozen
a year, and almost always in severely limited quantities.
Their style, at least based on an early compilation listen,
consists mostly of raw, primitive, mid-paced death metal, with
frequent nods to early
Venom
and some mid-eighties style pre-death
thrash.
2011's Sabbatrinity is
their latest,
their first full-length album in eight years.
