Stress Factor 9
Stress Factor 9 is clearly promoting its association with
Annihilator
(the band features vocalist Randy Rampage and drummer
Ray Hartmann, both of whom appeared on the classic
Alice In Hell album back in 1989), which in this case is
probably not a bad thing, as early Annihilator is a decent
musical reference point.
Theres clearly more of a just-for-fun atmosphere
here, most songs being speedy, accessible metal numbers
with semi-jokey lyrics (as indicated by song titles such
as Suck-Cess, My Leech (with its bleed me dry chorus),
etc.), while Road Rageacide has a decent
Megadeth
snarl going for it.
Its all pleasant enough but not really very meaty again,
this seems more of a fun side project rather than a serious
musical venture.
The band hasn't been heard from since the album's release.
