X-World/5

HammerFall) and his drummer pal Big Swede, with their aim being to play Euro power metal with a futuristic image and style (so, that means occasional spacey effects in the music and sci-fi lyrics). Along for the ride were two big Euro metal names in Andy LaRocque (King Diamond and others) and Pagan's Mind vocalist Nils K. Rue, further heightening interest in the band. They put out New Universal Order in 2008, and the processed vocals and various sound effects are sure to generate divided opinions -- Euro power metal bands are well known to play it safe, and one could imagine that some hardcore fans might not like all the bells and whistles. On the other hand, this was definitely a bit different for the genre, even though without the extras the songs were really pretty traditional power metal in nature. New Universal Order was a decent first effort from this project, but it appears the project is no longer active.
