Witchery

Witchery was formed in 1997, shortly after four members of the band Satanic Slaughter walked out on that band's founder, wishing to start a new band. With four quick releases in four years, they rapidly became one of Sweden's top thrash acts, with a style that melded both black and death influences with a sturdy modern thrash base. Following their 2001 album Symphony For The Devil, the band appeared to rather suddenly go quiet, with very little reported activity. Since then the band has poked its head up every five years or so to record an album, with their most recent effort coming in 2022.
