Unleashed Power

Unleashed Power (sometimes abbreviated as U.P.) played technical power metal with thrash overtones. Their 1998 release, Mindfailure, might remind one a bit of Mekong Delta (minus the classical influences), though maybe more power-metal based, while the gruff vocals (somewhat Germanic-sounding, for some reason) give them a more contemporary feel. with practically every power metal band conceived, is on hand here, lending his expert drumming skills to the band. Founder Ken Jacobsen, once emigrating from Denmark to New York to lead the band, has since returned to his homeland and it looks like the group is no more.
