This Ending
This Swedish band traces its roots to a 90's melodic death metal band
by the name of
A Canorous Quintet.
That band recorded two albums in the late nineties but were done by 1999.
Six years later the same fivesome reunited, but with a different name,
The Plague.
A demo was recorded, they signed to
Metal Blade
Records, and they changed name once again, to This Ending,
continuing the classic Gothenburg style.
Interestingly, the old Canorous name was revived in 2016,
and as of this writing (early 2024) both bands, with overlapping
membership, are active.
