Tranzat
Tranzat is a quirky French band (is that redundant?) playing an
inventive brand of alterna-prog-metal with a clear sense of
humor, as evidenced by the song titles, cover pic, and title
of their 2022 album
Ouh La La.
The vocals (style-wise if nothing else)
immediately reminds one of Devin Townsend, which is certainly
not a bad thing -- he may not sound just like Devin, but he certainly
sings like him.
Music-wise, Devin might be a starting point -- this isn't
Strapping Young Lad,
but at times this sounds a bit like Devin's heavier solo material.
Don't be put off by the album cover --
Ouh La La is heavier and
more varied that one might expect, and an interesting listen.
