Tank 86
This Dutch instrumental quartet released their debut full-length
album
Rise in 2011 following a couple of EP releases.
This is solid, thick, riff-heavy metal,
with a style more or less in the stoner doom mold, at times
reminiscent of bands like
Mastodon
or
Karma To Burn,
minus the vocals of course.
It's all pretty relentless, but yet there's plenty of variation in
the songs, and in general the guys are a bit more grounded in metal
than some instrumental bands.
Very well done.
