Question Of Madness
Longtime
The Chasm
bassist Alfonso Polo started up this project in 2009, some six years
after taking a break from the metal scene.
Roping in friends from other bands to help out, the debut album
The Dark Corners Of The Mind was released in 2010.
Musically, there's nothing really in common with Polo's former band,
as Question Of Madness is first and foremost a doom metal band in the
classic
Solitude Aeturnus
tradition.
Albert Rybka (a power metal vocalist in his other band) does a good job
here, maybe not rising to Messiah/Rob Lowe levels but providing clear,
strong vocals atop crunchy doom riffs.
Not sure where this band is now or where they're headed, but
Corners
is a fine doom metal album.
