Purson

Purson was a relatively short-lived band that debuted on the Rise Above roster in 2012, thus garnering some metal fan interest. They were firmly in the occult rock/metal field on their debut, and then moved a bit farther afield on their second (and, as it turned out, final) album in 2016, Desire's Magic Theatre. There's not a great deal of metal on Theatre, with the band indulging in some pyschedelic rock and a bit of the carnivalesque atmosphere that bands like Diablo Swing Orchestra have been exploring. They disbanded in 2017.
