Prayer For Cleansing

This North Carolina band formed in 1996 and released an album (The Rain In Endless Fall) in 1999, followed by a rare EP released (presumably) shortly before disbanding. Endless Fall is more or less a metalcore album, even though the vocals are often more like Euro melodic death and the riffs also seems melodic death-influenced, with even some black metal touches. As metalcore goes, this seemed a bit more adventurous than others in the field, and the vocal style is less stifling. This band overlapped with Between The Buried And Me, as three guys here were in the original formation of BTBAM in 2000, though this band lasted until around 2004.
