Onslaught

Rising from hardcore roots in the early eighties, Onslaught released three albums between 1985 and 1989, with the Power From Hell debut displaying hardcore tendencies that were lessened for the later two albums as they adopted a more traditional thrash style. By 1989 the band were signed to a major label and were featuring Grim Reaper vocalist Steve Grimmett (apparently a move requested by said major label), but he left soon after release of In Search Of Sanity that year, and the rest of the band lasted until 1991 until breaking up. After a lengthy break, a somewhat revamped lineup emerged in 2004 and have recorded sporadically since, though as of 2020 only guitarist Nige Rockett remains from the early days.
