Neuraxis

Canada (specifically the Quebec area) seems to produce a neverending supply of frenzied, complex death metal bands (Kataklysm, Cryptopsy, Quo Vadis, to name but three), and Neuraxis is a worthy member of said fraternity, delivering a potent mixture of twisted riffs, blast beats, and harsh growls, yet not without a sense of melody. The band was formed in 1994 by Steven Henry and Yan Thiel, the two holdovers from the early lineups. Though not yet on the same level as some of their compatriots popularity-wise, their releases are as good as any in this field.
