Non-Human Level
Non-Human Level is the solo project of
Darkane
guitarist Christofer Malmström, recruiting bandmate
Peter Wildoer (normally a drummer, but here a vocalist) along
with a pair of extreme metal veterans to produce a self-titled
album.
Self-described as death/thrash with melodic and Floridian influences,
the music here is indeed modern aggressive thrash metal, bordering
on death at times, with a fair amount of flashy guitar work
(plenty of soloing, certainly more than many typical extreme
metal bands) and a decent degree of variety with the odd quieter
moment.
Wildoer's vocals are a bit one-dimensional, as it's pretty much
non-stop screaming throughout, though that's par for the course these
days for such bands.
The band is tight and ferocious, and those into deathy thrash metal
should like this band.
