Memorain

Memorain is a Greek thrash band led by guitarist Ilias Papadakis and, judging from the everchanging lineups, pretty much exists as a solo project. One might think he's simply hard to work with, but given that several well-known names have participated here over the years, it's more likely the case that he just gathers folks from around the world to record with him when he feels the urge, and there's nothing wrong with that. On 2018's Nous Of Time, the style has been tempered down to a workmanlike groove/thrash sound, somewhere between a true retro thrash style and the more aggressive modern thrash of the new millennium. Capably done if not earthshattering.
