Maninnya Blade
This Swedish band's
Merchants In Metal album featured a style
bordering on speed/thrash, which for 1986 was inventive and a bit ahead
of its time.
Noted guitarist Mike Wead
(
Mercyful Fate,
Abstrakt Algebra,
among others)
was a member before and after (but not during) the recording
of
Merchants, and after a later lineup dissolved, he and others
formed
Hexenhaus.
Apparently the band is active in one form or another even though there
haven't been recordings in years and officially only the one album
was put out, the later albums being odds-and-ends compilations.
