My Dying Bride

One of the three British bands acknowledged as originators in the field of doomdeath metal (the others being Paradise Lost and Anathema), My Dying Bride have matured into a powerful dark metal band, incorporating slight goth influences into their distinctive somber style. The style of the band has remained steady throughout their career, with a partial departure being some of the mid-period albums (notably 34.788% ... Complete) where a cleaner vocal style was prevalent. Yet the band has never stagnated, and continues to push the boundaries of extreme doom metal, recording with regularity every year or two, and always releasing quality material.

Recent album: A Mortal Binding, released on April 19, 2024.
