Litmus

Having opened for space rock legends such as Hawkwind and Ozric Tentacles in recent times, Britain's Litmus is a rising space rock star, with two albums to their credit thus far, the latest being the excellent Planetfall released in 2007. While many space rock bands (for example, Galacticka) opt for a more relaxed, semi-ambient style, Litmus' sound is more in-your-face, psychedelic-tinged heavy rock, with plenty of swirly synthesizer bleeps and bloops that are the hallmark of space rock. This is great stuff, probably one of the more metallic space rock bands currently on the scene. Highly recommended.
