Iron Mask

Iron Mask is a Belgian band centered around virtuoso guitarist Dushan Petrossi, with six albums to their credit as of this writing. Taking a listen to the latest, 2016's Diabolica, the guys stay true to classic Euro power metal with a neoclassical bent. Petrossi proves himself a very capable guitarist and the production and musicianship values are exactly what one comes to expect from an AFM Records these days. To be honest, there's nothing here that hasn't been done before by countless other bands, and it's not clear whether this style still reigns supreme in Europe as it did, say, 10 years ago. So, no surprises here at all, but power metal fans (you know who you are) should be all over this.
