Gizmachi
Gizmachi is one of several bands with some sort of connection to
Slipknot
(which, of course, gives the band a bit of instant publicity),
in this case the band's second album
The Imbuing produced by
Shawn Crahan and released on his new imprint record label
Big Orange Clown Records.
And, musically, this band isn't a million miles away from Slipknot,
though the vocals are harsher and more hardcore-based.
Overall, the style straddles the line between the harder end of
nu-metal and the more recent metalcore trend, though there's a
fair amount of diversity and depth to the songs.
So, while it's certainly unfair to label these guys as Slipknot
clones, it's probably safe that Slipknot fans might get into
Gizmachi as well.
