Fleshgod Apocalypse

Fleshgod Apocalypse debuted in 2009 with Oracles, a decent enough technically-minded death metal album that showed some hints of classical touches. Those classical influences came to the fore two years later on Agony, and from then on the band has solidified its stance as a true symphonic technical death metal band, marrying death brutality with swirling keyboards, busy arrangements, and female operatic vocals alongside the more dominated harsh growls, resulting in a general grandiose atmosphere. Septicflesh is somewhat in this field, or at least a kindred spirit, while another vague similarity is The Monolith Deathcult, minus that band's humor and industrial flourishes.
