Edguy

Edguy have established themselves as a major player in the ever-popular Euro traditional power metal field, mixing symphonic and speed metal elements to forge a sound similar to bands such as Stratovarius, Angra, or Rhapsody Of Fire, or better yet a mixture of these and other similar bands. While their debut did have a few rough edges (to be fair, the band was mostly teenagers for that recording), by the time of 1999's Theater Of Salvation the band really kicked it in gear, and have not looked back since. In addition to Edguy, vocalist Tobias Sammet is in charge of the highly regarded Avantasia project.
