E-X-E
E-X-E was one of those long-lost 80's bands who released
an album or two to little fanfare (in this case, this was
probably at least partially due to not being on a well-known
label), fade away into obscurity, and are fondly remembered
years later by a small cult fan base.
Stricken By Might, the band's debut, was pretty heavy for
1987, featuring a pounding power metal style with slight
early thrash tendencies.
Though a bit samey, it did contain some fine tracks
(BNR favorite: "Autopsy") and with some better label promotion
it might have generated more fan interest.
As it turned out, the band released the even more obscure
Sicker Than I Thought and were not heard from again.
