Destructor

Destructor played raw, primitive thrash, somewhat akin to early Metallica or Exodus. Their 1985 album, Maximum Destruction, is quite energetic, but a bit rough around the edges and sounds a bit dated now. They were well known in the Ohio area for their over-the-top leather and chains look (that, plus their stage names, gives a good impression of what they were like). The tragic death of bassist Dave Holocaust brought about the eventual demise of the band in the late 80's, but the band reformed some time ago and have two releases in 2007.

Recent album: Blood, Bone, And Fire, released on November 24, 2023.
