Daylight Dies

Daylight Dies hails from North Carolina and their style is squarely in the melancholic, semi-doom/death arena, emphasizing sad yet melodic guitars overlayed with harsh death growls. As heard on 2002's No Reply, mid-period Katatonia is the prime reference point here, with Agalloch also an occasional soundalike, though Daylight Dies is more aggressive than either of those two bands. They've managed a good career since No Reply, recording every few years, most recently in 2012.
