Dogs With Jobs
Dogs With Jobs was the band formed by Gord Kirchin, the vocalist
of the infamous
Piledriver,
and originally the material was supposed to be a continuation
of that band
(and as such, may or may not be considered as simply a new version
of said band).
Except for the vocals, the two bands really don't sound a lot alike,
as
Dogs With Jobs played straightforward thrash with very humorous lyrics.
Payday is the better of the two, featuring better guitarwork,
better songwriting (
Shock, though not bad at all, was a bit
simplistic) and a much better production.
Good stuff, especially the lyrics!
Eventually Kirchin put this band to rest and later recruited new
members to comprise a reformed Piledriver.
