Devil To Pay

A Bend Through Space And Time (replete with appropriately trippy cover artwork) is the fifth album by this Indiana quartet, and it finds the band continuing to dole out hefty slabs of gritty, blue-collar metal, with faint stoner nods and the occasional Southern swagger. The riffs are aplenty, but even at their heaviest they retain a remarkable accessible edge, and there is a good deal of breadth in the songwriting to keep things interesting (the album even features a nice Motorhead homage in "Your Inner Lemmy"). Recommended.
