Bloodywood

Simplistically, he title from Bloodywood's 2025 albumm Nu Dehli, really tells the listener all that is needed to know -- the album is unabashedly nu-metal, and as they hail from India, there are scattered Indian/ethnic instruments integrated throughout. The band has an interesting origin story, apparently starting out as a parody band covering various non-metal tracks, as seen on their first recording Anti-Pop Vol 1, released in 2017. In a few years the band gained a rabid following and their first proper debut album, 2022's Rakshak, put them on the international metal map. Nu-metal has always been a divisive subject among metal fans, and Bloodywood's work isn't going to convert the non-believers, but Nu Dehli showcases the band's talents quite well, and is one of the better efforts in the genre.
