Named for a famous murder case in the 1940's, The Black Dahlia Murder
is one of the leading bands in the American branch of melodic death
metal, adopting the
style first pioneered by luminaries such as
In Flames ,
Dark Tranquillity ,

At The Gates ,
highlighted by the versatile vocals of Trevor Strnad.
They've recorded for
Metal Blade
steadily since their debut album (
Unhallowed ) in 2003 and are
one of the label's more succesful acts in recent years.
