Autumn Leaves
Autumn Leaves was one of many bands in the melodic
death metal camp, the style pioneered and developed by
any number of mostly Swedish bands (though these guys
were Danish).
As Night Conquers Day, the band's second and last album
released in 1999,
is an above-average representation of the style, not terribly
original but containing the requisite crunchy riffs, melodic leads,
gruff vocals, and the like.
There was enough potential here to hope for bigger things to
come, but they broke up in 2001.
