Assuck

Coming into being in the late eighties, Assuck recorded the usual set of singles, splits, EPs, and the like, alongside two full-length albums. Some bands effectively straddle the line between grindcore and death metal, and Assuck was one of them, though they are more closely aligned with grindcore, particularly given the shortness of many songs, the often political lyrical stance, and the frenetic pace that is often on display, though they aren't afraid to slow it down at times as well. They are still regarded as a pioneer and influential band in the field of grindcore.
