Asking Alexandria

Asking Alexander was founded by guitarist Ben Bruce in Dubai of all places, with a lineup eventually coming together that produced a debut EP in 2006 and an LP in 2007, both relatively obscure. He then decided to scrap the lineup and move to England, where he put together an all-new band retaining the Alexandria name, and the resulting lineup is where the more formal history of the band starts. As heard on 2013's From Death To Destiny, Asking Alexandria is a polished modern metalcore band, featuring the standard trademarks of the genre (hardcore verse vocals, clean chorus vocals, hardened guitars, etc.). There's nothing that really stretches genre boundaries here, but the band represents metalcore as well as anyone and they've managed a solid career.
