Accu§er

Accu§er was one of several German speed/thrash bands emerging in the late eighties, with their early releases taking cues from early Metallica, a shade similar to countrymen Paradox or perhaps Vendetta. By the early nineties guitarist/mainman Frank Thoms took over on vocals, and his hardcore-ish shout made the releases such as Taken By The Throat resemble a slightly thrashier version of Prong. By 1995 they were tired of the scene and disbanded, but five years Thoms and guitarist René Schütz decide to regroup and play together again. Initially the name of the new band was Scartribe (also the name of a promo/demo CD), but after awhile they switched back to Accu§er, and then back to Scartribe, and then again back to Accu§er, and have recorded steadily ever since.
