Vortex Of Insanity's
Social Decay was a heavy, late-80's styled
power/thrash metal album, rather atypical of a Hellhound release
as that label deal almost exclusively in doom metal.
The band had numerous ties to another Maryland band,
Indestroy,
and in fact the styles of the two bands are not radically different,
except that Indestroy is more thrash-based.
A forgotten album nowadays,
Social Decay is worth tracking down.
As of 1999 founder Zak Campbell stated that the band was working
on new material, but nothing has of yet come of this.
