User Ne  

User Ne, a band hailing from southern Spain, is one of those eclectic, avant-garde bands that are virtually impossible to describe accurately, given the diverse influences of their music. Described by someone (perhaps the band itself) as "epic folk pagan metal", this group incorporates several non-metal instruments (flutes, clarinets, and bagpipes, among others) and a variety of vocal styles with traditional Celtic and Spanish folk melodies atop a death/black/dark gothic metal base. Tarantos, the band's second album (and apparently the second of an as-yet-unfinished trilogy) is an extremely adventurous listen. This is the kind of album sure to please left-field music fans, the ones who look for something completely unique and often outside the boundaries of traditional metal.
