Thine Eyes Bleed

These Canadians formed in 2004 and released their
debut album a year later.
In The Wake Of Separation brings together elements
of death (Scandinavian style), thrash, and metalcore,
competantly done and sufficiently vicious though
not really bringing anything new to the table.
Considering that the increasingly eclectic
The End
Records
signed this band, one might have expected
something more off-the-wall.
Surely the label was going for the “featuring relative of famous
musician” angle here
(
Slayer’s
Tom Araya’s brother Johnny is this band’s bassist), though
how relevant that is to listeners is anyone’s guess, since
there are only faint passing resemblances to Slayer here.
They've since left The End and self-released their third album in 2011.
