Roachpowder
Roachpowder is part of what appears to be a healthy
Scandinavian stoner metal field (see also
Spiritual Beggars and
We).
Though based in Sweden, half the band is of South American
descent, with brothers Francisco and George both emigrating
from their native Chile for political reasons.
Musically the two albums released thus far are somewhat different
in nature, with the debut being in the Sabbath/
Corrosion Of Conformity mold (perhaps with a bit of Motorhead mixed in), while
the newer
Atomic Church shows a very evident
Monster Magnet
vibe.
Some lineup changes have taken place since the release of
Atomic Church, though the current lineup isn't quite clear.
