Red Fang

Hailing from Portland, Oregon,
Red Fang gained some early notoriety for their video for
"Prehistoric Dog", a track of their debut self-titled album, which
itself compiles two previous recordings.
The video is quite humorous, and the song represents their style to a T,
that being prime, husky-voiced stoner rock/metal.
Queens Of The Stone Age
seems to come up frequently as a soundalike, which is a bit lazy
(many stoner bands don't sound anything like Queens) as well as not
totally accurate (there are similarities, sure, but they aren't a clone).
They signed to Relapse Records for their very capable followup
"Murder The Mountains" in 2011, and are one of the better bands in the
stoner field these days.
