Mob Rules
Mob Rules was formed in 1994, and since debuting in
1999 have delivered several albums of classy, bombastic
melodic metal, with
shades of the familiar European style yet clearly
more aligned with the melodic hard rock scene than the
plain
Gamma Ray
cloning of some of their contemporaries.
As per usual, the musicianship and production values are
spot-on, almost to the point of being too sterile, with every
riff in place and vocalist Klaus Dirks hitting all the right
notes with his high-pitched, clear voice.
Mob Rules has a keen sense of melody, and even in the
overly crowded field that is German power metal, these guys
are recommended listening.
