Intronaut  


Intronaut is an intriguing new band featuring some guys from Impaled, Exhumed and others, though these guys don't sound like either of the aforementioned bands. This is solidly rooted in the modern extreme metal style of crushing, dense guitars, complex rhythms, and ferocious metalcore-influence vocals, but all of this is expertly tempered with moments of shade and quiet, at times not unlike Neurosis, with almost progressive and even jazzy overtones thrown into the mix. For a young band this is impressive indeed -- while the general style isn't wholly unique for these times, the execution here is near flawless.
