Darkwell  


The Austrian band Darkwell more or less embodies Euro gothic metal on their 2000 debut, Susperia, featuring graceful, classically-influence female vocals (there are scant clean male backing vocals, but no death growls), midpaced riffing, and plenty of keyboards lending a melancholy feel. This is another band featuring prolific drummer Moritz Neuner, who seemingly has drummed for every Austrian band in existence (not true, of course, but he does have an impressive resume, including many more bands than those listed below).
