Doomshade

Doomshade is an Midwestern indie band who released
their self-titled debut album in 2007.
Pantera
is a clear influence here, the guitar tone and the
double-bass drum work in particular bring Dimebag's
crew to mind, though the songwriting sometimes is a bit
more based in traditional metal.
The vocals are harsh and rough and may or may
not be inspired by Phil Anselmo -- by no means a direct
soundalike, and in general they aren't as powerful as
Anselmo though they do fit the general style of the music.
Not at all bad for a first-time self-financed effort.
