Charon  


Finland and goth rock/metal seem to go together as well as wine and cheese, judging from the number of goth bands from that country. Charon is another such band, in the same camp as fellow Finns Entwine, For My Pain ..., and Poisonblack, the latter for whom vocalist J.P. Leppäluoto sang before leaving to concentrate here. Charon has a nice ear for mood and melody, and Leppäluoto is a find, his soulful croon perfect for this kind of band. The band may have trouble standing out in a crowded Finnish goth scene, but they are as capable as any of their peers of succeeding.
