Bloodgood  

Along with Barren Cross, Bloodgood was one of the few Christian bands of the mid-eighties attempting to expand on the popularity of Stryper, and like Barren Cross they (at least initially) aimed for a more metallic market. Their first two albums, the 1985 self-titled debut and the 1987 followup Detonation, are their most well-known albums as well as their heaviest, as the style shifted to a more accessible hard rock sound on their latest releases. They carved a decently successful career for the next several years, though they didn't quite seem to be able to capitalize on their early success. They disbanded in 1994, and reformed briefly in 2002. Finally, in early 2006, another reunion came about, this time featuring former Stryper guitarist Oz Fox.
