The Beyond  

The Beyond was a curious group, with a style that vaguely resembled progressive thrash but was neither progressive nor thrashy in the traditional sense of those terms. They were quite a unique band, and while Chasm was the more mature of their two releases, the preference here is for the raw frenzy of Crawl, truly a great album. After the two albums they changed name to Gorilla (possibly to signal a directional shift), under which a couple of obscure EPs were recorded before they finally disbanded.
