At Vance  


More traditionally-minded metal from Germany, At Vance's style is not terribly unique for European metal these days (a mixture of neo-classical, hard rock, and Germanic speed metal, somewhat in the Rainbow mold, or for a more recent soundalike, akin to the stuff Axel Rudi Pell is doing), but they execute it as well as any. The band formed in 1988 by vocalist Oliver Hardmann (who has since departed) and guitarist Olaf Lenk, once a member of Zed Yago. Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, (essentially this has turned into an Olaf Lenk project), the band has released seven albums, the most recent entitled, appropriately enough, VII.
